First success for Balkan in the league

In its home debut in the National basketball league Balkan managed to overturn its deficit and to defeated Tundja Yambol 69-64 in front of the full packed hall in Botevgrad.

The hosts scored the first basket in the game but the visitors took control of it and were ahead 19-14 after one quarter. In the second they continued with their strong play and at the break were up 38-27.

The third quarter started bad for Balkan as the main center Anatas Radev commited his fourth foul. The visitors were able to maintain a lead of 5 to 8 points for most part of it. In the final minute Martin Marinov's triple made the score 46-47. Two new three-pointers by Marinov in the last quarter completed the turnaround in the game. In the 33-rd minute
Balkan was ahead 54-47 and after three more minutes the score was 58-47. The the visitors scored two straigh threes and cut the deficit to three, 64-61. However this got them tired and at the end they couldn't do more and lost second straight visit of the new season.

Yordan Bozov was the top scorer with 21 points, Ivan Lilov 16 and Martin Marinov 11 points in very important moments.

For the visitors Dimitar Anguelov top scored for the team with 16 points, Leven Belberov added 13 and with 10 finished Zlatko Gocevski.
