Rilski Sportist won dramatically in the last second
A very dramatic win in the national league took the team of Rilski Sportist. It was the fifth straight victory for the squad from Samokov and it came in a thirlling way. Rilski defeated Yambol 83-82 at home after a Hristo Zahariev scored a free throw with 0.2 second left to play.
With 15 seconds to go in the game Yambol took a 3-point lead. Then Terry Smith tied the score with a three-pointer and after the visitors missed there was still time for a fast break. Zahariev was fouled and he scored only the second free throw to give the win to Rilski.
Terry Smith was the top scorer for the winners with 22 points while Hristo Zahariev added 17 and 9 rebounds.
Nemanja Milosevic had 19 points and 8 rebounds for the visitors and Stanislav Govedarov and Martin Durchev added 15.
