Spartak Pleven wins hard against Balkan

Spartak started the game stronger than their opposition. They played really good, and didn't give Balkan any chance. After dictating the tempo in the first quarter, Pleven lead it 27-12 after 10 minutes of play.
In the second quarter Spartak continued to play good. After gaining momentum in the first 10 minutes, they managed to make the difference bigger and played good. At halftime they had a commanding 20 point lead - 50-30.
Spartak showed their biggest problem in the second half - the fact, that they could not be consistent. Problems started coming in the third period, and in the 27th minute Balkan decreased their losing to 10 points - 60-50. Anyway Spartak woke up and got a 13-point lead after 30 minutes of play - 67-54.
In the last quarter Balkan started climbing back in the score again. Three minutes before the end of the game, the guests were leading 74-75. After that Iliya Stankov scored a 3-pointer, and Spartak was leading again. It was 83-80 with 34 seconds to play. Atanas Radev made it 83-81, and after that Rosen Sofroniev scored only one free throw after being fouled - 84-81. Ivan Lilov reminded of himself with a basket for 84-83, as after that Aleksandar Dyakovski was fouled with 2.5 seconds remaining, but he only scored 1 free throw for 85-83. Pavle Bolkovac tried to score from halfcourt with the buzzer, but he couldn't.
Bozo Barac was the high-point man for Spartak with 23 points. Iliya Stankov and Todor Todorov both had 17, and Hrisimir Dimitrov who was guarded tight scored only 11, but had also 8 points and 7 assists.
For Balkan Dwayne Morton had a double-double with 27 points and 10 rebounds. Ivan Lilov added 21 points, and Pavle Bolkovac finished with 14.
