After the signings of a few quality players for the new season, now the Bulgarian Cup holder and League runner-up Lukoil Neftochimic Bourgas has a new name in its coaching staff as well. It's Tsvetan Petkov, who will be assistant to Bourgas coaching legend Petko Marinov.

Petkov is a young coach, graduate of the National Sports Academy "Vassil Levski". He has previously worked at BC City University youth academy in the town of Pravets.

The new acquisitions for the team of Lukoil Neftochimic until now have been Silvia Peeva, Elena Yolovska and American Dionne Brown. All three of them are returning to the Bourgas club, after they have played there in the past as well. Another new player set to start pre-season training with the team on 1 September is Brown's compatriot Rachel Wojdowski, whose contract has a 10-day try-out clause.

The team parted ways with national team members Zornitsa Kostova and Natalia Topalova, who have chosen to play for Lukoil's big rival in Bulgaria Dunav Econt. Another Bulgarian international - Radostina Slavova - signed with CSS MCM Targoviste in Romania.
