Cherno More swept Yambol in two friendly games

Yambol and Cherno More played two friendly games at the end of the last week. The team from Varna came out victorious in both meetings, recording fairly easy victories. In the first one, Cherno More celebrated 92-71 victory in a game where they took the lead from the opening tip off. By halftime, they held 55-38 so it was clear that Yambol will not be in position to treat.
 
For Cherno More, Pavels Veselovs (207-F/C-83) scored 17 points while Aleksandar Yanev (202-F-90) added 16. New signing, American center Eric Webb (188-G-84, college: Furman) finished the contest with 11 points and 5 rebounds.
 
Michael Earl (203-F-85, college: Utah St.) scored 17 points for Yambol, while Pavel Marinov (196-G-88) and Bryant were only other players in double figures. They scored 12 points each.
In the second friendly, which was played the following day, Cherno More displayed even better performance. They dismantled Yambol 104-70. This time, Yambol came out stronger in the first quarter, leading by 4 points after 10 minutes of play. However, Cherno More took control in the second quarter and went on a beak with 46-49 lead. After the breather, Yambol players got cold feet and stopped executing on the offense. In the remaining two quarters they did not score more than 12 points per each. Cherno More improved their shooting and in the end they won by 34 point margin.
 
Eric Webb and Aleksandar Yanev scored 19 apiece for Cherno More. Pavels Veselovs added 17, while Krum Doychinov (206-C-86) and Simeon Iliev (202-F-89) had 11 points respectively.
 
For Yambol, Pavel Marinov had 15 points, Stoyan Petkov (195-F-85) added 14 while Michael Earl finished the game with 12.
