Women national team of Bulgaria lost all of its friendly games before the additional qualifyings for Eurobasket 2011. Head coach Jose Maria Buceta said he`s not worried by that and here is also what he shared after the last game of the preparation:

What is your overall opinion about the preparation?
"I think that we worked very hard and the reality is that the team is growing day by day. We had many players coming to the camp and I think we need more time. I`m happy because every game we`re playing better. It`s true that we didn`t win a single match but what is important is that the team grows better and better. In the second game against Romania we did much better than in the first."

Are you worried that you lost all the games?
"I don`t really care. What is important is that the team improves. It`s true that when you win you`re happy, but I think you need to be mature enough to understand that friendly games are for preparation. It`s important to see an improvement from the team. We didn`t play against week teams, we played against strong teams and this is good to prepare but now the official competition begins and this is what it counts."

Do you managed to gain enough information for our opponents?
"We know everything. It`s not important only to know but to play. We have to play game by game and see what happens. We`ll try to do our best and of course we`ll try to qualify."

What do you think about the chances to be first in that group?
"We have as many chances as the other teams really. We have to play our game and we`ll have our chances. I hope that then we`ll come back to Ruse for the final playoff."

Last summer the situation was the same - losses in the friendly games than you almost qualified...
"It`s true. You need experience to win. Sometimes it`s easy to organize the schedule of the friendly games and take victory in each one of them and everybody will be happy. What is important is in the real game. OK, we want to win but now we want to build a team. This year we have many problems with players coming with injuries. It`s not excuse but we need some more days before the competition starts. We have 6 days to recover and be fresh to begin."

What improvent do you see with this girls playing together for second year?
"These girls two years ago nobody thought they are for the national team. I think that they`re proving they can play and of course this is team for the future. Of course it doesn`t mean we won`t give our best and try to qualify. The truth is this girls need more experience because even the experience they had during the season is not like for the other countries who have players in the first leagues in Europe."

Do you think that it`s better those qualifications to be held later in the year?
"This is the situation for all the teams. I hope we`ll be ready."
