Lukoil Academic and Balkan to decide the title in fifth game
Lukoil Academic defeated Balkan 80-78 away and tied up the final series at 2-2 wins. This means that the title will be decided with a fifth game to be played in Pravets on Monday.
The game was a real battle from start to finish with neither team being able to take a big advantage. They were exchangins baskets and leads as it all came down to the final seconds. In the last minute Lilov made a triple to put Balkan up by 1 but Dragovic answered with one of his own in the next offense. Then Lilov made two free throws to tie the game with 12 seconds to go and one second later Balkan decided to foul Terry Smith. He made both shots and then the hosts missed and the game was over.
Veselin Veselinov had 17 points and 8 rebounds for the winners as Terry Smith added 16 points.
For the home team 21 points had Pavel Marinov while three othersscored 11.
