Stara Zagora won bronze medals

In third and decisive game for bronze medals in Women Playoffs Stara Zagora beat Dunav Econt 87 – 81.
The game was very even from the start until the end. During the last 2 minutes and 22 seconds the team of coach Nikolay Borukov left with only four players on the court after Anna Rimpova, Dobrinka Mocheva and Hristina Minkova all were fouled out. The home team had 2 points advantage in that moment and until the final buzzer not only hold the score but put some extra points in their favor.
Albena Bachkova was the best player for Stara Zagora with her 29 points while one of the most complete players in Bulgarian league – Anna Rimpova ended with 20 points, 8 rebounds and 6 steals.
The head coach of visiting team Stefan Stefanov used the depth of his bench to stay in the game. However they weren’t lucky enough at the end to win the game. Despite the loss, Dunav Econt is one of the most improved teams in Bulgarian league. They didn’t win any medals but fourth place is still big success for them considering which teams finished between 1-3 place.
Romanian forward Svetlana Dragusin scored 20 points while the young talents Daniela Peteva and Daniela Georgieva captured 19, respectively 16 points.
