Cherno more lost another game at home as they felt to Balkan by 82-85. The players of coach Georgi Mladenov took a revenge for the loss a month and half ago in the first round of Men’s First A-1. Back then “The sailors” won in Botevgrad but this time they couldn’t do it at home in front of their own fans.

The game was even from the start until the very end and normally end as drama.

Cherno more was up by four points 80-76 with 2 minutes to go when the referees blew the whistle for unsportsmanlike foul and by hitting 4 free throws (2 by Nakov I 2 by Atanas Radev)  tied up the score at 80 apiece. Lithuanian Augustinas Vitas put his team ahead by 2 (82-80 but Boyko Milenkov hit 3-pointer from the corner to get Balkan 83-82 lead. The pressure of the host team was too big and they didn’t manage to score until the end commiting two bad turnovers.

Great game by Dwayne Morton and Ivan Lilov as they ended by 24 points apiece. Morton added 11 rebounds for the winners. Balkan was without Pavle Boljkovac who didn’t travel and sat at home sick.

Tsenov scord 22 points for Cherno more while Vitas ended with 18 points and 8 rebounds.
