CSKA back to 4th place

The team of CSKA recorded very important win in the battle for fourth place in Men A-1. Tonight The Reds defeated Yambol 102-86 and are now back at 4th place. After Spartak Pleven lost to Balkan both teams have now equal record 15-15 and CSKA are with an advantage in the head to head games.
After Cherno More lost in Samokov it's almost certain that CSKA and Spartak Pleven will play against each other in the second round of the playoffs. It remains to be seen which team will have the home advantage. There is still little chance for Cherno More to move in the battle for better position but probably they will want to hold on to the 6th place to meet Balkan.
Yambol though is now down to 8th position with the same record as Rilski Sportist. Both teams will fight for the 7th place until the end because it will secure a 1/4 final against Levski and not Lukoil Academic. Rilski Sportist has advantage in the games between the teams.
In tonight's game CSKA controlled the match for the whole period of time losing only the third quarter allowing Yambol to score 30 points. The captain of the team Georgi Davidov came back after missing the game in Pleven and finished as top scorer with 30 points. Josh Washington added 20 and Lavelle Payne 18 points.
Martin Horozov made one of his best games this season and scored 23 points. Stanislav Govedarov finished with 19 and 6 assists.
