Levski with third win against Balkan this season

The leaders in NBL Levski will stay on top after the 17th round. Today "The Blues" defeated Balkan for third time this season, this time at home 84-69. The hosts had the lead for the whole game but it was close until the middle of the third quarter when they pulled away and went on to finish the game with ease.
Balkan took an early 5-3 lead but it was the only one in the game. Then Levski took over nad had 25-16 advantage after the first quarter. In the second one the visitors had good moment and came within a point at a numerous times but never had the lead. With little to go in the half Bobby Fraser scored a 3-pointer to put Levski ahead 41-37 after 20 minutes of play.
Immediately after the break the hosts built a 10-point lead. Balkan cut it to 5 but then allowed Levski to pull ahead once again and the hosts had a 13-point advantage after the third quarter. In the last ten minutes the visitors managed to come close to 9 points but then Levski built a 15-point lead and closed out the game.
Aaron Harper was once again the top performer on the court with his 30 points on 10/12 shooting and 5 rebounds and 3 assists. Donald Cole had 20 points while the captain Stefan Georgiev had a dominant presence under the basket with 19 points and 10 rebounds.
For the visitors Ivan Lilov had 22 points and 7 rebounds and Georgi Davidov scored 13 points.
What is ahead for Levski are two games in Eurohold Balkan league. First, next tuesday the team will travel to Montenegro for a game with Mornar and then at 4th of March will hosts Steaua. Then it's a visit to Chernomorets before the Cup Finals. Balkan will have two more games before the tournament in Yambol. First the team takes on Spartak Pleven at home and then it's an away game on March 6 at Rilski Sportist.
