Cherno More beat Balkan Botevgrad with 81-74 in one of the most interesting games of the first round of the national championship. The team from Varna demonstrated good skills as during most of the time was leading in the result. On the other hand, the host showed strong will and desire to win and were trying to win the game.

The first period was balanced and both teams reached the serious for the Bulgarian standarts 50 points for ten minutes. On the half time, the team of head coach Spas Natov had a 5-point-advance and in the third quarter they made it 10.

The last ten minutes happened to be quite successful for Georgi Mladenov and his guys as they tied the game and even went ahead in the result. However, Cherno More woke up and very fast took the leadership again, this time to the same end of the game.

The new addition of Cherno More – Simeon Tsenov – acted great and finished with 29 points, 6 rebounds and 2 assists and showed very good shooting per cent. His debut tonight made the Lithuanian Augustinas Vitas scoring 13 points and grabbing 6 rebounds for 30 minutes on the court.

Atanas Radev entered from the bench against his former team and acted good, making 14 points and 7 rebounds.

The bed shooting per cent was the main reason for Balkan’s lost. They succeeded in only 4 of their 3-pointer-attempts and their per cent from the free throw line was low as well – less than 60 %.
