Euroins Cherno More completed a comeback to defeat Rilski Sportist

Euroins Cherno more defeated Rilski Sportist 96-93 and had a positive end to year 2009. The game in Varna was very interesting and close and the hosts took the win in the final minutes. Rilski scored a total of 14 three-pointers from 27 attempts but the hot shooting didn't help the team to take the win.

The visitors started good and were up 32-22 after the first 10 minutes. In the second quarter their lead went up to 19 points but in the last three minutes Rilski didn't score and the first half ended 48-50.

After the break the visitors again pulled away to a double digit lead but the third quarter ended with 6 points in their favour. Cherno more took the lead for first time at 85-84 after a run of 12-1 and less than 4 minutes to play. The hosts were up 92-88, then the visitors cut the deficit to 1 but then made mistakes and lost a game they were in a great position to win.

Vasil Kyosev had strong game and finished with 23 points for the winners. Eric Webb added 21 and 9 assists while Simeon Tsenov ended the game with a double double - 20 points and 10 rebounds.

For the visitors good played Travis Peterson with 25 points and 7 rebounds as Aleksandar Gruev finished with 15 points, 8 assists and 5 rebounds.

In the first round of the new year Cherno more will visit Chernomorets in Burgas while Rilski will host the leaders Levski in Samokov.
