Josh Gonner is no longer a Balkan player
Josh Gonner will no longer play for Balkan Botevgrad. The American guard left the club and went back to the US. He stated personal reasons for leaving Balkan, as he needed to take care of a family illness.
Gonner came to Bulgaria at the beginning of this season, after spending three years in Finland. In the National Basketball League Gonner played 8 games, averaging 31 minutes, 13.3 pts, 3.4 rebs and 3.6 assists. He also participated in 4 Balkan League games with almost the same digits.
That way Balkan team is left with one American player – veteran Dwayne Morton. Petar Klechkov has enough strength on the guard positions, having some young players together with experienced Yordan Bozov, so it’s uncertain if a new player will be considered.
