Head coach of Bulgaria Pini Gershon:
“We have something to cheer about now. The situation in other groups are good for us and that is why we celebrated after the game. We have to lose by big difference in the last game and other our opponents to win by huge margins to get by us”, said Gershon.
“Two very young players played very well tonight and I’m very happy for that. Chavdar Kostov did a very good job especially in the first half when he played great in defense as well. Bojidar Avramov also played very good. They both replace well Filip Videnov and I believe they combined stats are much better of what he averaged. I’m happy those young players did a good job under the pressure in game like today.
In the beginning nobody believe in what we are doing but I still believe that we can qualify for European championship. I hope that will happen this Saturday. I told the players to get the tied score 5 minutes before the end and then I will win it for them. This loss actually has a meaning of win for our team. I have no idea how many games like this one Bulgariа played before but I believе this is one of the greatest ones”, finished Geshon.
