BC Spartak Pleven strengthened their roster with addition of 25-year old American power forward Joe Kennerly (204-C/F-84, college: Cent.Oklahoma). Kennerly played most recently at Debreceni Egyetem KE (Hungary) where he averaged averaged 12.0ppg, 5.6rpg (FG: 49.8%). During the 2007 season, the 6'9' 240 pound forward was named Hungary Division B Player of the Year and led DEKE as the only import to promotion into the top league. Kennerly said of the opportunity,
'I've heard great things about Spartak and the community. I'm excited to arrive and start working toward a championship'. Kennerly is set to arrive in Bulgaria this weekend.
