Evelina Guneva moves to Burgos
Bulgarian Evelina Guneva will play in Spain for another season. She played for Spanish teams for the last few years and now she signed with a new team - Arranz-Jopisa Burgos. The team will compete in the elite LFB, as it finished 12th last season.
Guneva played for Argon Uni Girona in 2010/2011. In 26 games with the team she averaged 7.4 ppg and 3.7 rpg. Earlier in her career she played for Real Canoe and Cadi la Seu. Before moving to Spain she was a part of Sibenik Jolly JBS (Croatia), Wisla Can-Pack Krakow (Poland) and Technological University Kazan (Russia). Here is what Burgos coach Ricardo Gonzalez had to say about her:
′Since we started planning the roster for the new season Evelina was one of our top targets. We needed a forward with her abilities. She′s talented and she′s good at many things, which will help our team. Guneva is an experienced player and knows our championship very well. I believe in her and I′m sure here in Burgos shel′l play her best season in the Spanish LFB′.
