The national champion of Spain - Real Madrid signed a contract with Greek center Lazaros Papadopolous. The 27-year old big man was Dynamo Moscow's leader in the last three seasons, as he lead off the team to a participation in the Euroleague.
Real Madrid had a battle for Papadopolous' signature with Dynamo Moscow and Olympiakos which offered him a year salary of 2 millions euro. Papadopolous prefered the prestige of the "Royal Club" and decided to go to Madrid.
The Greek national player, European champion in 2005 and silver medalist from the 2006 World Championship is part of the impressive selection which Real is preparing. The objective in front of the team is winning the Euroleague, as Madrid is going to host the Final Four.
Last season 210-cm tall Lazaros averaged 14.7 poinds and 7.2 rebounds per game, as he is one of the best players on his position in Europe.
