Videnov out for the qualifications

In the last practice of the national team yesterday one of the best Bulgarian players Filip Videnov felt a pain in his heel on his right foot.
27-year old national team guard was taken to Botevgrad for an X-ray. Then it became clear that he is suffering from the so called Jones fracture. This means that Videnov will be out for some time.
Early in the morning today he had an examination at the famous doctor Toni Georgiev who confirmed the diagnosis.
Videnov will miss the qualifications but is hoping to recover if eventually the team qualifies for Eurobasket 2007.
"Very bad situation. Filip will not be able to help in the qualifications. This will be an extra motivation for all the others to do their best in order to qualify. Our squad has proven a lot of times that can be an amazing team and that can compensate every missing unit. I hope that this happens this time as well and that now the player give a chance to Filip, if he recovers in time, to play at the European championship itself in September" said the head coach of Bulgaria Konstantin Papazov.
