04-10-2007 18:08
The team of Spartak MVR reached their first win at the qualifying tournament in Pravets as they beat the already qualified team of Dunav 2007. During all the game, the “policemen” were leading and the fight ended with the result 95-68 in their favour. The players of Rumen Shopov did not have the needed motivation in this game, although they were promised bonuses by the president of the club Rosen Dunov. He said that if his players win all the games on this tournament, they will be awarded. This loss does not mean anything and the guys from the Danube city are going back home extremely happy and pleased with the achieved as they played their last game tonight. Spartak MVR exposed its abilities, but unfortunately it happened too late. All the players of the starting line up demonstrated very good skills and acted quite well. Ivan Tilev scored 26 points and added 6 rebounds, while his teammate – the restless Ivaylo Ravutsov finished with 24 points. The best in the team of Borislav Arsov was the short playmaker Mihail Kapitanov, who managed to give 22 points (four 3-pointers), 11 assists and 6 rebounds. Tomorrow is the last battle of Spartak MVR. They face their opponents from Slavia.
