New Wash Montigarda will be the second Italian team for Ekaterina. In 2005 still 17-year old she signed for Terra Sarda Alghero. In her first season there she played 32 games and helped the team stay in the top division. Dimitrova averaged 10.9 points, 4.7 rebounds and 1.7 assists in that season. "I go there with big hopes and expectations to help my new team to reach at least the playoffs. I'm very happy that I return to Italy. The championship there is very strong and I like the style of play. I leave Israel with good impressions and even little upset. I played in a great team here, we had good coach and board. The conditions were more than perfect, from basketball point of view I'm very happy because I got a lot of experience playing against and with very good players. I'll miss the most my roommate Tatyana Troyna from Belarus".
The Italian team is currently 11th in the standings with only 3 wins and 7 losses. With the same record are Pool Comense of Gergana Slavcheva and Italmoka Pozzuoli of Tanja Cirov. In her debut Dimitrova will have to meet the Serbian with Bulgarian passport on 3rd of January.
