Spartak Pleven in 4-th place after a win in Samokov

Spartak Pleven defeated Rilski Sportist in overtime in Samokov - 92-89 - and finished 4th in the Regular Season of First A-1. So now they will play Cherno More Eurohold and will have home court advantage.
Rilski Sportist went down to 8th place and will meet Dunav 2007. The first team to win two games will play against Lukoil Academic in the ¼ finals.
The visitors started very strong and had a 19-8 lead after seven minutes. Then the hosts stabilized their game and cut the deficit to five, 18-23 after ten minutes. In the second quarter Miko Golubovic played very well and with his good performance the hosts took the lead for the first time with 3'53'' to go. The two teams went into the break with Rilski Sportist leading 42-41.
At the end of the third quarter the margin went up to 12 points, 63-51 for the hosts, who started to think it would be an easy from there on in. In the 33rd minute the score was 69-57 for Rilski Sportist and after another two minutes the visitors had cut only a single point of the deficit, 72-61. But then, in the next two and a half minutes the hosts didn’t score, as Spartak cut it to 4 with 2'18'' to go. With a minute to go the hosts were ahead 75-74. After a few turnovers and misses by both teams Mirkovic scored two free throws to make it 77-74, but then, instead of fouling, the hosts let Dyakovski unmarked on the 3-point line and he hit the target to level the score with 8 seconds to go. Then Gruev missed in the closing second and the game went to overtime.
In that one Spartak took a 5-point lead that was quickly erased. But then the visitors went ahead by 6 points and that time they managed to keep the advantage to secure the win. Hrisimir Dimitrov was once again the top player with 23 points and 10 rebounds, as Bozo Barac added 17 for the winners.
For the hosts Saraliyski and Golubovic finished with 18 and Gruev had 17.
