Levski won the promotional tournament of National League

Levski won easily the promotional tournament of National Basketball League who took place yesterday in Universiada Hall. In this tournament took part all the teams that will compete in the upcoming championship. All the eight teams presented three players with a coach. There were quarterfinals according to last year`s standings.

Most of the teams had sent junior players which practically gave no problems to Marcus Hall, Stanislav Slaveykov and Vasil Evtimov to win all three games. They just didn`t have any competition.

In their first game they defeated CSKA 28-16, and then Tundja in their most tough game 24-18. The players from Yambol gave a serious challenge but Marcus Hall got mad and showed nice moves, including great dunk over Pavel Marinov that helped the team win.

In the final game "The Blues" came out against Euroins Cherno More and took a 16-0 lead before the youngsters from Varna could score a basket. Vasko Evtimov made good impression with his great passing abilities.

The winners received their awards personally from Spencer Heywood, the former NBA star and champion who was guest of the tournament invited by KFC. All participants received awards from only Bulgarian who ever played in the NBA, Georgi Glushkov as the winners of Three point shooting contest Vasil Kyosev and Slam dunk contest Pavel Marinov received small balls signed by the big star.
