Eight teams to play in the men league, the draw for the new season on July 22

Levski and Rilski Sportist to play once again

Eight teams will take part in the second edition of NBL (68th national championship for Men) of Bulgaria. Today was the last possible day for requests and deposit for participation from the teams. The teams that will take part in the league next season are:
Lukoil Academic
Levski
Rilski Sportist
Spartak Pleven
Euroins Cherno More
Balkan
Chernomorets
Yambol

The draw will be held on July 22nd at 11.00 o'clock. The new names are those of Chernomorets from Burgas and Balkan from Botevgrad. Last season they were part of he lower A group. BC Sliven has not made a request to participate and will be part of the lower division during the next season, while CSKA still has sanctions.

The system of the competition will be divided in two phases: home and away basis in Regular season and playoffs. NBL is composed by 8 teams who will play each other four times, two at home and two away.

After those games are over according to the classification in the Regular season will begin the playoffs.

Quarterfinal games - best-of-three series. Home court advantage is with the better placed team. The couples will be as follow: 1-8, 2-7, 3-6, 4-5.

Semifinal games - best-of-five series. The better place team will be hosting the first two games and the eventual fifth. It's played 1-4, 2-3.

Final games:
- games for 3rd place - best-of-three series between the teams that have lost the semifinal matchups. Host of the first and the eventual third game is the better placed team.

- For 1st and 2nd place there are best-of-five series between the teams that have won in the semifinals. Host of the first two games and the eventual fifth one is the team with better place in the standings.
