March Madness bracket predictions
The field is set: 65 teams ready to compete and cut down the nets in Indianapolis, baby!
It wasn′t a surprise to see Kansas, Kentucky, Syracuse and Duke get the four No. 1 seeds. Nor was it shocking when the Big East and Big 12 earned eight and seven bids, respectively.
But now, my friends, the fun really starts. When I break it down, I feel that the cream will rise to the top. In other words, I think the majority of the top seeds will make it to the Sweet 16.
Here are my picks:
MIDWEST
Sweet 16: Kansas vs. Michigan State, Georgetown vs. Ohio State
Regional finals: Kansas vs. Georgetown
Regional winner: Kansas
WEST
Sweet 16: Syracuse vs. Vanderbilt, Pittsburgh vs. Kansas State
Regional finals: Syracuse vs. Kansas State
Regional winner: Kansas State
EAST
Sweet 16: Kentucky vs. Wisconsin, Marquette vs. West Virginia
Regional finals: Kentucky vs. West Virginia
Regional winner: Kentucky
SOUTH
Sweet 16: Duke vs. Texas A&M, Notre Dame vs. Villanova
Regional finals: Duke vs. Villanova
Regional winner: Villanova
FINAL FOUR: Kansas vs. Kentucky
NATIONAL CHAMPION: Kentucky
Talent is a key factor and I truly believe that the talented tandem of John Wall and DeMarcus Cousins will accomplish the same feat as Carmelo Anthony and Gerry McNamara for Syracuse in 2003. People question Kentucky′s experience, but I′m going with them all the way, baby!
