Lukoil Academic crushed Rilski Sportist in Samokov
Lukoil Academic crushed Rilski Sportist in a game from the second round of the Bulsatcom NBL. The reigning champion got to the victory by 89-77 easily as the players of coach Marin Dokuzovski controlled the game. This is the second victory for Lukoil as the team will face its rival for the past several years Levski Sofia in the next round. Rilski Sportist will play against Spartak Pleven.
Lukoil Academic started the match better and led by 10 points after one quarter. At halftime the guests were 20 points ahead and they already had the victory secured. In the beginning of the final period Lukoil led by 24 and even though Rilski had a 14-0 run, the team only shrank its deficit.
Mohamed Abukar scored 28 points for the victory and Bozhidar Avramov netted 19 while Pavel Marinov finished with 11. For Rilski Sportist Terry Smith had 22 points and Branko Mirkovic added 20.
