Rilski Sportist re-signed with two players. Aleksandar Gruev and Asen Saraliyski extended their contracts with the team and will play there next season.
Gruev, who received a call-up by National team coach Konstantin Papazov, decided to stay in Samokov despite the fact that some teams had interest in him. Last season he became the leader of Rilski Sportist and the board of the team did everything to keep him in the squad. For 31 games in championship and Cup of Bulgaria Gruev averaged 17.03 points, 2.06 rebounds and 3 assists. His good games didn't remain unnoticed by the national coach who included him in his extended roster for the additional european qualifications.
23-year old Asen Saraliyski will also stay in Samokov. The Zlatograd born player signed a new contract and will continue to play for Rilski Sportist. Saraliyski is one of the key reserves of head coach Petkov Delev and that made the board of the team offer him a new contract. In last championship Saraliyski averaged 6.38 points and 3.03 rebounds in 34 games.
So after re-signing with those two players the next goal for Rilski Sportist is to attract 2-3 new players to raise the level of the team and to fight for a better place in the championship.
