ULEB Cup Elimination Rounds Draw announced
ULEB Cup draw on January 28
Once the battle to get there has finished, a draw to determine a bracket for the elimination rounds of the 2007-08 ULEB Cup will be held on Monday, January 28, at 13:30 CET in the Museu Olimpic i de l'Esport in Barcelona.
The draw will determine for the 32 teams that advance from the regular season exactly which others they must beat in order to reach the final. The first two rounds will be two-game eliminatory series in which the lower-placed team from the regular season hosts the first game and the higher-place team the second. The first elimination round will be played on Tuesday, February 19 and Tuesday, February 26. The winners of those series advance to the second elimination round, to be held Tuesday, March 11 and Tuesday, March 18.
The teams that win second series will take part in the brand new Final Eight, whose debut edition will be held at the 9,079-seat Palavela arena in Turin, Italy from April 10 to 13. The Final Eight is a single-elimination tournament of one-game quarterfinals and semifinals leading to a winner-take-all title game on April 13 to crown a new ULEB Cup champion!
