Cekovski to undergo surgery

Lukoil Academic forward Gjiorji Cekovski will undergo surgery today in St. Pantaleimon clinic in Sofia.
The Macedonian player will have surgery on his ankle. The intervention is only cosmetic and will be performed personally by Toni Georgiev. Cekovski was complaining by ankle pains during the playoffs but after serious examination, it showed that the player doesn't have serious injury. The forward couldn't go home in Macedonia due to this intervention.
Tomorrow Cekovski will sign out from the Hospital and will be on his way to his home country. He is one of the last players of Lukoil Academic still in Bulgaria. The recupareting period will be of at least a month after which he will be able to join the preparation of Macedonian national team for the European qualifications. The Macedonian is with expired contract and the Lukoil Academic board will start eventually negotiations with the forward after around 20 days when the work for building a team for 2007-08 season will start.
