Erick Barkley has signed contract with CSKA. He was born on February 21st, 1978. His professional career started in 2000 where he was drafted 28th in the NBA Draft. He signed two-year contract with the Portland Trail Blazers where he played 27 games. In 2002/2003 season he played for San Antonio Spurs and Chicago Bulls. In 2004/2005 he played in Olimpia Larisa in Greece and the next year for Maccabi Ramat Gan. Last season Barkley played for KK Split in Croatia.
"Erick is second foreign player after Vukasinovic who is coming in CSKA. I think he is defining the class of our team for the upcoming season. Our selection is going slower that we expected. The reason is that Rosen Barchovski and I are very careful in our judgements for every new player because we don't want to make the same mistakes from the last season." said the General Manager of the team Emil Cohen.
