Lukoil Academic confirmed ULEB Cup participation

The board of Lukoil Academic confirmed the team's participation in ULEB Cup next season. All the documents for the pre-registration have been sent. This will be the fifth participation in the second strongest and most prestigious basketball tournament in Europe.
Lukoil Academic reached the 1/8 final stage in the first three occasions but last year went out in the group stage. Some of the most famous teams that were defeated are Real Madrid, Dynamo Moscow, Red Star, Aris and Cantu.
The draw for the competition will be between June 28th and July 1st in Italian city of Jesolo but first the new format of the tournament must be discussed. It's expected that the number of the teams will be increased due to the bigger interess and that caused some problems between ULEB and FIBA.
