The best scorer in ULEB Cup and Adrtiatic League from last season Milan Gurovic said he will play for Serbia at the Eurobasket 2007.

The forward is going to Poland today to sign two years contract with champion of the country Prokom Trefl.
Gurovic announced he will play for his country because of all fans in Serbia.“For me it’s a big honour to play for Serbia. I’m happy that I’m born in this country,” said Milan Gurovic. “ We sure have no enough experience but we have too many young players with lot of games behind their back. We are not favorites but we are not outsiders as well.

It’s a big honour for me to be captain of the national team, I’m very happy to be the first captain after all those years. I decided to play for the nation of Serbia, for Kosovo and Republic of Srpska. And I want to make it clear, I’m not playing for the Federation of Serbia. I don’t care about them,” continued Gurovic.

He will join the camp with the national team on July 25th.
With the statement of Gurovic, coach Zoran Slavnic hopes other names like Pavlovic, Popovic, Milicic and Jaric will join the team for upcoming Eurobasket 2007 in Spain.
