Tencho Banev will sign with Lukoil Academic

One of the main centers of the Bulgarian NT - Tencho Banev will play for Lukoil Academic next season, informed gong.bg.

The management of "the students" managed to negotiate with Interperformances agency and Luciano Capicchioni a few hours ago, and the only thing left is the signing of the contract which will happen on monday. The executive director of the club - Sasho Vezenkov watched the tournament Vivatel Cup along with Zeljko Lukajic, as the serbian head coach has declared his desire to have an even number of bulgarians and foreigners.

"We negotiated with Capicchioni. Tencho was our captain until three years ago, and I think he's the best bulgarian player on the "5" position. He has improved very much, especially on defense and professional attitude, because he spent quite a long time playing in Europe. We are expecting a lot from him. He has to develop his offensive game", Vezenkov said for gong.bg. "We are really interested in Deyan Ivanov, but he's changing his manager right now, so there aren't any negotiations at this time. He's one of the best talents of bulgarian basketball and I'd be very happy if he comes to Academic."

Zeljko Lukajic wants Todor Stoykov to remain being the team's captain during the new season.
