One of the most talanted Bulgarian players Ekaterina Dimitrova will continue her career in Israel. 19-year old player signed one year contract with Maccabi Ramat Hen.
Dimitrova was born on November 23, 1987 in Plovdiv. There she made her first steps in basketball. Then in 2003 she moved to Levski Spartak. With The Blues she finished twice runner-up in Bulgarian championship. In 2005 Dimitrova went to play for first time abroad signing with Terra Sarda Alghero. In her first season in Italy she played in 32 games averaging 10.0 points, 4.7 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 2.1 steals. Last season she again was a key player in the team that unfortunately was relegated from the top division. Anyway Dimitrova again played at a good level and finished the season with averages of 10.7 points, 4.3 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 2.3 steals per game.
This year Dimitrova was captain of Bulgaria U20 national team that finished 9th at the European championship. For 8 games at the tournament she averaged 13.4 points, 5.4 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 1.8 steals.
Dimitrova's new team Maccabi Ramat Hen finished 5th in the regular season in Israel and then reached  the 1/2 final of the playoffs. For this season the board of the team have ambitions to reach the final of the championship and cup of Israel. The team already acquired Edwina Brown, Kasha Terry, Olena Mustafina, Tatyana Troina and Chen Shtain.
