Appolon Limassol with Boyko Mladenov in its lines, beat AEK Larnaka with 86-54 in a friendly game which is a part of the preseason preparation of Limassol.
Only a few days ago, the team of Boyko finished participation in the friendly tournament “Keravnos Strovolou” where took the third place. The 214-sentimetres-tall centre suffered an accident – his eyebrow was broken and he needed a medical intervention. Although acting with 4 stitches, he performed very good and helped his teammates to success. In the last game of the competition against the Israeli Maccabi Rishon Le Zyon, unluckily Mladenov was hit on the same place. The wound made him leave the playing ground and for the 15 minutes spent there, he already had 12 points. The doctors ordered Mladenov to rest until Wednesday.
Yesterday night, not fully recovered, the head coach counted on the Bulgarian and put him into play for 20 minutes. Boyko showed his skills and scored 15 points. The other familiar to the Bulgarian spectators player who is also wearing the jersey of Appolon Limassol – Sinisa Avramovski stayed on the court 20 minutes as well. He added 17 points for the final triumph.
The national championship of Cyprus starts at the end of October.
