FIBA stopped Burks for Lukoil Academic

Lukoil Academic will not count on Antonio Burks's services for the new season. This was announced by Sports Director Sasho Vezenkov.
In personal conversation with FIBA Europe's sports director, Kosta Iliev, Vezenkov was told that Burks's rights have been stopped and he won't be able to play basketball for one year. According to the central he left Red Star Belgrade without having the right to do so. He wasn't paid for one month and has decided to leave the club on his won. At the end FIBA Europe decided this matter succesfully for Red Star. By this the Bulgarian champions are facing serious problem. They need to find good playmaker as soon as possible for the start of their ULEB Cup campaign. Vezenkov added that until wednesday all transfers of the club should be finished. In the next days the team is waiting for an answer from Maccabi Tel Aviv for the loaning of Brasilian center Murilo Da Rosa.
