Yambol managed to surprise CSKA Interlogic in Sofia and recorded first win of the new championship. The visitors had the lead for whole time and deserved their 73-68 win.
The game started even and the first quarter was like this. At the end of it the guests managed to take a 23-21 advantage. In the second quarter they started to play much better and took a six point advantage. The hosts went back to 35-36 but after a good run Yambol went in to the break with 45-39 lead.
At the begining of the second half the visitors continued to lead but CSKA still remained very close. At the end of the third quarter they went very close to their opponents and ended this quarter losing by a single point. In the last quarter the visitors surprisingly continued with their very good play and managed to keep hold of their advantage until the end of the time.
Dimitar Anguelov was the top scorer in the game against his former team with 20 points. Kirilo Skumatov ended up with 19 while Stanislav Govedarov added 15 and 14 rebounds. For the hosts Lavelle Payne finished with 18 points and 11 boards and Ludmil Hadjisotirov added 13 points.
