Easy win for the champions

The champions of Bulgaria Lukoil Academic continued to dominate the championship with another win. They defeated away Sliven 104-63.
Surprisingly Sliven played very good in the first quarter. The hosts were even to their opponents in the first ten minutes and even had the lead at 19-17. In the second quarter things on court went back to normal. Lukoil Academic started to play much better defense and that reflected on the scoreboard as the result was 49-36 in their favour after the first half.
Despite their good advantage the champions didn't relax in the third quarter. They went in to the court concentrated and again increased the difference to 77-52 after 30 minutes of play. Last quarter was like a nightmare for the hosts. They played with more of the reserve squad and the visitors took full advantage of that scoring 37 points with only 11 for Sliven and so the difference went up to 41 at the end.
Pero Antic again finished the game as top scored with 31 points. Very good played also Nenad Canak with 24 and Donta Smith with 16. The youngster Dimitar Philipov had another solid game finishing with 12 points, 4 rebounds and 4 assists. The new guard in the team Stevin Smith played only 10 minutes as he fouled out. He scored only 2 points.
For the hosts Nikolay Dinev had good game scoring 23 points. Vasil Golov finished with 12 and Dimitar Georgiev with 11.
