Lukoil won against Yambol for 20 minutes

Champion Lukoil Academic achieved it's 28th straight victory in the championship of Bulgaria, after winning against Yambol 106-92. 100 spectators in the Sports Complex in Pravets saw two completely different faces of our champions - before and after halftime. In the first half, Yambol held Lukoil's advantage low, and they were only 1 point behind at halftime - 46-45. In the second half, Academic took control and easily won the game with 14 points of difference.

The champions played without three key players - Pero Antic, Tencho Banev and Riste Stefanov. Coach Zeljko Lukajic wasn't present too, and the team was held by assistant Jordan Kolev.

Willie Deane scored the most points in the game - 30, as he added 8 assists and 6 three-pointers, but he also had 7 turnovers. Todor Stoykov and Chavdar Kostov both were shooting 100% from beyond the arc, as Stoykov had 22 points (4/4 for 3 points) and Kostov added 19 (5/5 from 3 points). Nenad Canak had 17 points and 6 rebounds, and Larry O'Bannon added 14 points and 5 boards.

For Ivan Cholakov's team, Vadim Reka had his regular double-double. 208-centimeter tall center had 23 points and 13 rebounds on his stats. Martin Durchev scored 6 three-pointers for his 22 points, and he added 5 assists. The team captain - Stanislav Govedarov had 14 points and 4 assists.

Yambol is on the 8th place in A-1 with 9 wins and 19 losses. Lukoil is untouchable on top with 28 wins.

In the next round Lukoil travels to Varna to play Cherno More Eurohold, and Yambol plays Rilski Sportist at home in a battle for the 7th place.
