Virtus Roma announced on Wednesday that it has come to an agreement with American point guard prospect Brandon Jennings. The player is due in the Italian capital next week, when he will be officially presented by the club.

Jennings (185, 18) was considered one of the top high school players in the United States last season, where he averaged 35.5 points per game for Oak Hill Academy in Virginia. He won a number of high school player of the year awards, including those issued by EA Sports, MaxPreps and Parade Magazine and took part in many of the top high school all-star games including the Jordan Brand Classic and the McDonald's All-American game.

"I am very happy about the arrival of Brandon in Rome," Roma general manager Dejan Bodiroga said in statement. "Brandon is one of the greatest Americans talents today… For us it's a great achievement to have brought to Virtus a player of such great quality."
