The Bulgarian women league runner-up and and cup holder Lukoil Neftochimic inked a one year deal with American Danyel Crutcher, who has been at Illinois in NCAA (Big Ten conference) for the last 3 years. She played a total of 79 games during those seasons and averaged 10.2 points, 6.2 rebounds, 1.4 assists per game in the last of them (2007/08), while shooting 51.3% from the field and 76.0% from the charity stripe.

Crutcher will be the second American in the roster for the new season, besides Dionne Brown. The other USA national, who was on try outs and about to sign a contract - Rachel Wojdowski - was released, when it was found out she had a herniated disc.

From September 30-th to October 2-nd the team from Burgas will take part in the prestigious Fenerium Tournament in Istanbul, along with 3 teams preparing for the start of the Women EuroLeague season - Russians Spartak Moscow Region (the EuroLeague champions of the last 2 years!), czechs USK Prague and hosts Fenerbahce (the Turkish champions). A day later Lukoil Neftochimic will play a friendly game with another great team from Istanbul - Galatasaray.
