Shay Shtriks: That was the best possible way to start the league

The sports director of the Eurohold Balkan League Shay Shtriks was very happy after the good start of the group phase of this year's competiton in the region.

"This is the best possible way to start the Eurohold Balkan League for season 2008/09. We saw a high level of basketball and a great game at the opening of the competiton", said Shtriks after Rilski Sportist beat Mega Hypo Leasing in a dramatic fashion by a single point. "Let's hope we will see more games like this one - a very interesting and close game from the start until the end. This is the most important thing for us, to have good and quality games and I have no doubt that we will have more of those. I'm also satisfied with the very good officiating in this game. At the end both clubs were happy to start the competition like that. Hopefully all the other teams will start the same way."

Shay Shtriks is leaving immediately for Belgrade where he will hold a press conference tomorrow morning, while in the afternoon he will attend the game of Radnicki 034 Group versus Feni Industries in Kragujevac.
