National team center Nikolay Varbanov is coming back to Levski and will play another season with The Blues. This was announced by the official web site of the team after he reached an agreement with the board of the club.

The youngster was on try out in Arkadia Lions from Austrian Bundesliga and left great impressions in the coaching staff. 208-cm tall center played 16 minutes in a friendly game for the team and finished with 9 points, 8 rebounds, assist and a steal in a game won 91-72. After that Varbanov received a contract offer but he decided to come back to Levski because of the greater ambitions the team will have this season and the participation in Eurohold Balkan league.

23-year old center played 42 games with Levski last season and averaged 4.8 points and 3.9 rebounds. During the summer he was part of the national team that qualified for Eurobasket 2009 in Poland.

Levski is now preparing for the derby game against Spartak in Pleven tomorrow from the second round of National Basketball League. The board of the team will make everything possible in order to receive permission Varbanov to be part of the team for the game tomorrow.
