In an interesting and high scoring game the team of Levski defeated at home Rilski Sportist 124-103 securing second win in three games in the championship.

The game started very interesting as both teams were scoring and actually were not playing defense at all. The players were scoring almost on every possession and were entertaining the people in the gym. Levski took a 30-27 advantage after the first quarter, as youngster Pavel Ivanov scored four 3-pointers. In the second quarter Branko Mirkovic came in very well from the bench that helped the visitors to take the lead. To the end of the half the game continued to be even but in the final seconds the visitors scored a 3-pointer and took a three point lead.

The second half started with slight advantage for the hosts who took the lead and were up by 4-6 points in the first minutes. Then Gruev and Lilov were substituted and after that the visitors made a few mistakes that allowed the hosts to take a big lead of 20 points after the quarter. So in the last quarter all that was left was the score to be settled and Levski made another good ten minutes to close out the game in good fashion.

After bad first half Marcus Hall came back strong in the second and finished with 27 points, 9 assists and 6 rebounds. Vasil Evtimov also had a good game finishing with 21 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists in a match where six Levski players scored in double digits.

For Rilski Sportist the top scorer was Branko Mirkovic with 22 points as Travis Peterson added 21. A total of seven players scored in double digits but the poor play in defense for the hosts didn’t allow them to have any chance of winning at the end.
