Spartak Pleven hosted Sliven in the first game of today and recorded third straight win after which the team went on top of the standings but only for a few hours. The game in Balkanstroy Hall was viewed by 300 spectators and they got it clear who the winner would be from the first minute. Even without its captain Spartak managed to win 95-51 and how has 7 points from 4 games. Next week in Pravets the people will have the chance to watch the derby match between the two top placed teams Lukoil Academic and Spartak Pleven.

The visitors from Sliven who played today without Andrean Ilchev and Jeremiah Boswell didn't have big chances for surprise. In general the team of Sabin Marinov will find it very hard to compete in NBL and as soon the players manage to believe more in themselves and play with more confidence against their opponents we will witness better games from the team. Sliven was never in front in this game as the biggest lead for Spartak was 47 points.

Rob Preston again showed his good form and finished with 21 points and 8 rebounds despite playing only 13 minutes. Sasha Topchov added 16 and 8 while Vladimir Marinov scored 13.

For the visitors Otontsidis and Sharett scored 11 points apiece while Milen Dimitrov made the only double-double in the game with 10 points and 10 rebounds.
