12-03-2009 18:08

The team of Levski had an easy game and won without any problems the second quarterfinal of the Cup of Bulgaria. In Pleven after Lukoil Academic defeated heavily Vidabasket, Levski did the same thing to Chernomorets winning 107-54. This success will see Levski play in the semifinals against Rilski Sportist.

Titi Papazov let in play the whole roster except Marcus Hall who has an injury and is questionable for the semifinal. This though had no reflection on the intensity of Levski's play and reflected on the big winning margin at the end of the game. The players from Sofia won all quarters and proved there is a lot if difference between the teams.  In the first half the margin went over 30 points as at the break the score was 57-23. In the second half without a lot of pushing the players of Levski reached the 100-point mark and won 107-54.

The players of Levski played beautifully and for the people in the gym and made a some sort of practice before the way more difficult semifinal waiting. Interesting moments were the first three-pointer of the season for Boyko Mladenov and the impressive dunk by Arnas Kazlauskas in the second half. The Lithuanian finished with a double-double - 18 points and 10 rebounds. Stanislav Slaveykov also scored 18. Top scorer though was Stefan Georgiev with 19 while his brother Zlatin added 18.

For Chernomorets top scorer was Dimitar Roshmanov with 16 points but the best player for the team was the veteran Mincho Aleksov with 11 points and 8 rebounds.

Levski managed to grab 55 rebounds against 27 for their opponents. Morton had 12 while as we wrote Kazlauskas had 10.
