KK Crvena Zvezda Belgrade announced arrival of Bulgarian National Team player Filip Videnov. The 29-year old Videnov is coming to Serbia from Spanish team Kalise Gran Canaria. He appeared 31 times ACB last season averaging 5.8 ppg and 1.3 rpg. Videnov played for Team Bulgaria on EuroBasket 2009 in Poland collecting 13.2 ppg, 5.2 rpg and 4 apg for 6 games. He ended the contest as fifth ranked assistant.
Before Granada, Filip Videnov spent two seasons with Caja San Fernando Sevilla. Actually in January 2008 he moved from Sevilla to Solsonica Rieti. For 13 games in Italian Serie A he had 7.2 ppg and 2.2 rpg. In the past Videnov also was a member of Tekelspor Istanbul, Sluc Nancy and Split. With Nancy he reached the Pro A Finals in 2005. At the same year he played for Team Bulgaria on EuroBasket in Belgrade. For 3 games on that event Videnov exploded with 22.7 ppg, 2.7 rpg, 2.3 apg and 3 spg.
Filip Videnov is a product of Western Kentucky University, where he graduated in 2003. For 33 games in senior season Videnov had 9.6 ppg and 4.8 rpg.
