CSKA lost in Stara Zagora

[b]CSKA[/b] surprisingly lost the game from Round 21 of Women First A-1 as they were defeated in [b]Stara Zagora[/b] 76-78. The loss doesn’t mean anything as [b]CSKA[/b] are locked second on the table behind Lukoil Neftochimic[/b]. With this win [b]Stara Zagora[/b] will finish third after regular season while [b]Dunav Econt[/b] will end fourth. [b]CSKA[/b] controlled the game in the first half and led at the break by 12 points (47-35). However the team of coach [b]Nikolay Borukov[/b] had no answer in the third and turned the game in their favor by winning the third ten minutes by the score of 29-10. By entering the fourth quarter with 7 points lead [b]Stara Zagora[/b] already was on the verge to defeat [b]CSKA[/b] for first time this year. [b]CSKA[/b] fought back to but every time they got close [b]Stara Zagora[/b] was able to make another run. At the end [b]Tanja Cirov[/b] scored 3-pointer to cut the distance to 76-78, [b]Mocheva[/b] turn the ball over but [b]CSKA[/b] even didn’t make any attempt to tie or eventual win the game. The loss was first of [b]CSKA[/b] in domestic league since they lost in Bourgas back in December. [b]Albena Bachkova[/b] led the home team with 20 points while [b]Anna Rimpova[/b] added 17 points and 8 rebounds. For CSKA [b]Tiffani Johnson[/b] ended with double double performance – 10 points and 11 rebounds. The best scorer in the team of coach [b]Georgi Bojkov[/b] was [b]Tanja Cirov[/b] with 20 points (4 three pointers). Next week [b]Stara Zagora[/b] will visit [b]NSA Delta[/b] in Sofia while [b]CSKA[/b] will play Monday afternoon against [b]Slavia[/b] to end their regular season campaign.
