Lucky Bosna, Bulgaria lost after OT

Bulgarian Men National Team lost the first game from additional qualifications for EURO 2007. The team led by the coach Titi Papazov failed away at Bosna with the score 71 - 75 after overtime. After regular 40 minutes of play the score was even at 65 apiece.
In fully packed arena in Cazin bulgarians were even to their opponent and showed that Bosna is not that big of the favorite. Bulgarian team had a chance to win it at the regular time but couldn't manage to score in the last posession before the final buzz.
The captain of Bulgaria Todor Stoykov played like he usually does, but at the end his shot was very close to get in. He was fouled out in the overtime session. On the other end Kenan Bajramovic grabbed few important boards on both ends of the floor and scored crucial baskets to bring the victory for his team.
Bulgarians lost the rebounds battle and were able to get 29 overall team rebounds despite they played 45 minutes.
Dimitar Anguelov was the best scorer for Bulgaria with 16 points despite he missed most of the friendly games of the national squad before the qualifications. Stoykov added 15 points and 6 rebounds as he scored four 3-pointers as well.
American with bulgarian passport Roderick Blakney played well as he ended with 11 points and 5 rebounds. Twin brothers Kaloyan and Deyan Ivanov's played under the basket for most of the game as regular center Tencho Banev was in foul trouble for most of the time.
Next game for bulgarian team is this coming saturday in "Universiada" Hall in Sofia when the opponent will be third team from Group A of additional qualifications - Hungary.
