Nikolay Balev signs with Alvina

Nikolay Balev will play for Alvina Varna. 29-year old center has agreed terms with the board of the team and will play there the next season.
Last year he played in 24 games and averaged 6.6 points and 2.5 rebounds for Spartak Pleven. His contract with the team was not renewed and he was free to find himself a team. Balev recently came back from try out in Cyprus with the team of Apollon Limasol. Despite the good performance he wasn't approved by the board of the cypriot team.
Before going to Cyprus Balev was training with Spartak MVR. There was a big possibility that he would join the team for A-1 qualifications but finally he went to Varna and will play for Alvina.
